Overcharged and hung up on by the desk person when questioning how they could charge me for a cleaning when the college-aged pool cleaner who came out did NOT clean anything, admittedly. He said he wasn't able to clean because my pump was not powerful enough. Ok, well that wasn't the case. But if it had been, how and why were they able to charge for a 65.00 cleaning? I was home that day and he was in and out in under 15 mins. and the pool was NOT cleaned. No response. none. Except to be hung up on. I have repeatedly asked to speak to the owner who hasn't returned my calls. I was disputing the charges and told them NOT to run my credit card- she did anyway! Then lied and told me she had emailed me saying she was going to if she didn't hear back from me. I said "ok, forward me THAT email with time on it. Never saw it. why? Because there wasn't one! They ended up charging us over 775.00 to open up the pool, two separate charges- what the heck. Not to mention two different cleaning times that they told us they "couldn't really clean" due to my motor not working correctly (why did you charge us then?) ---> OH when asked why they charged us the front desk said "well some was a travel charge"- what? At no time did we ever hear there was a travel charge that was incurred for them to come to clean the pool. So shady. We now use Diversified Pool Pros and they are excellent!
Chris and his crew quoted a fair price for a large job. He stayed with the job, overseeing the critical areas, making sure things were done correctly (no sub contracting that I could see). The end result was a great fit and finish for our pool and hopefully an end to the struggles we have had in the past. I would recommend their work. They may not be the cheapest in town, but the quality of the approach. The knowledge that Chris carries in his head and the overall attention to detail are well worth the investment in my opinion.
Dave's Pools had multiple recommendations from people I work with. Called them, arranged an onsite review with Chris. I was immediately impressed with Chris's knowledge of pools, area issues and past solutions. He reviewed our pool, made a recommendation to eliminate the diving well and raise the bottom of the pool (we have fought water table issues ever since buying the home years ago.
Earlier this year we needed extensive work done on our 25+ year old inground poool. The vinyl liner was failing, needed replaced. In the past we had used local area pool care suppliers with very poor results and major resolution hassles.
Dave’s pools recently installed a pool for us, and we also bought a hot tub from them. We are been very happy with the whole pool installation process. The work was above standard and done in a very time efficient manner. Chris and his team communicated with us on a regular basis before and during the installation. We not only had a pool installed, but we had retaining walls made along with a fire pit. Our backyard looks like something from HGTV. Chris also hooked us up with a landscaper that is helping us finish off our project. We would highly recommend Dave’s Pools to anyone looking to install a pool. They not only installed a pool for us, but renovated our backyard.
I've twice been disappointed by Dave's Pools. Their products are extremely expensive. I understand that home town shops are usually a little more expensive than big box stores, but this is outrageous! I could get the same pump for $60 cheaper (Which included shipping) and have it delivered to my house. I should the lady that claimed to be the owner and she wouldn't come down any and said that she already wasn't making any money. LOL
Excellent and reliable service. Very prompt too. Perhaps not the cheapest pool company around, but you DEFINITELY get what you pay for. Thanks for the great work over the years.
I fail to understand why the same exact chemicals can be bought just down the street for a lot less. I love to buy local so I took my business to Frey's Water Care and they are a lot more competitive. I think Dave's charges more because people think they are the only place you can buy pool stuff. If you want the same product for less (and Frey's has been great in customer service with even the owner making a personal visit to my pool when things weren't working) then try Frey's Water Care.
