I purchased a pair of boots for my daughter’s birthday two weeks or less before attempting to return them. At the time of purchase I asked about return policy, as the boots were a gift, and was told that as long as they were not worn outside they could be returned. My daughter decided to wear her athletic shoes to school and change into her boots there and at the end of the day she changed into her cheer shoes for her game. They were never worn outside. She needed to see how they felt on her feet. Upon attempting to return the boots, as they were too tight, we were told that we did not just get these as they were last season’s style and that she could tell they had been worn outside. They later realized they were, in fact, the new style. Unfortunately, I am unable to find the receipt, but apparently it doesn’t matter because the manager tells me she will not take them back anyway because they were worn inside of a school instead of inside a house. I was not aware that “inside” meant one place versus another because for all she knows my floors are hard floors as well, which they are. This is her reason for why they can’t be worn at a school. Hard floors can scuff shoes. I am now out $40 and my daughter can’t wear her shoes because they don’t fit and I can’t return these shoes because I was poorly informed. Customer service at this store in this experience was horrible in my opinion. It was only of service to the company and of no concern at all to the customer. I will never again shop here.
