We have a total of 7 animals that go here and we drive from Carmel for each visit. They came recommended to us by a dog trainer since we have 5 competitive field trial dogs.
Our animals are like our family. Anyone can administer shots for their yearly visits. When it came time for surgery and a lot of money out of pocket and a post op issue this was by far the worst experience we have ever received.
One of our dogs had to have surgery to have a cyst removed on 7/17. We noticed on 7/18 that half of his stitches were missing. Unfortunately we noticed it after hours. We called the office on 7/19 and was told that all of the doctors were out of the office for the day and they didn't know what to do. We left a message and was told one of the vets would get back to us. No one did. We called other animal hospitals for advice and they recommended we bring him in since he was at risk for a post op infection. So we brought him to an animal hospital in Carmel and he received 6 staples and an antibiotic and that visit cost us $250 out of pocket.
Wonderful, kind, and caring staff. These people love our pets almost as much as we do. Dr. Bob Kelly is our dogs' vet and he is the most wonderful man. Prices are fair and the animals are loved.
Great vet, really cares about his animals. Very friendly people..
Doctor Ron is an exert of small and large animals. When it comes to him I would take his word on anything. He is one of the top DVMs in Hancock County. He has been the DVM for my personal dog's and my sons kennel for over twenty years. Many people drive from other countries to come to him for his expert advice. He has a strong love for German Short Hair Pointers and is breeder of that breed. He is one of the best and most informed DVMs I have ever been around for that breed or any other dog as far as that goes. I have never seen a DVM with as much passion for animals as he has.
On 7/27 there was still no call back from the vet so I called because we were waiting for the results of the cyst that we paid for to be sent out. I was told they have them but there is only one vet in and they were busy so they would call us tomorrow. I told them this was unacceptable and I was shocked at the horrible post op care we received.
Very disappointed in this vet.
I received a phone call back from Dr. Ferris and he called me a liberal because of my review on their Facebook page and told me we were no longer welcome and we could take our dog back to the high priced animal hospital who did his staples to have them removed....
Staff is beyond friendly and trustworthy! They genuinely care about each animal that comes through their door, and always take such good care of my babies.
