Went to their Halloween event for the kids and it was awesome. The people were so nice and the food was delicious. I couldn't believe everything they had for the kids to do. What a great church and family they have. They welcomed us like family.
I moved to Greenfield and went to church in Indianapolis until I was told I should check out Faith Apostolic Church. I am glad I did. It is now home, and an integral part of my life. From a visitor, to a regular attender, to an active participant in the church - I have always felt welcome.
I am not apostolic but decided to give this church a try. I was greeted and offered a visitors card which I filled out. I never recieved a welcoming card or call.I asked where the nursery was and it took three people to even tell me. I sat out side the nursery for 15 minutes waiting for someone and no one showed up. Numerous members passed me and no one asked me if I needed anything. Finally I approached someone and asked if anyone worked the nursery. I was told that sister ? was in charge of that but no one offered to point her out to me or to introduce her to me. I decided to leave just shortly after the services started as my child was getting fidgity and I knew she would not remain quiet through the whole service. I figured it would be ruder for her to make too much noise that it was for me to quietly slip out the back.
No one (besides the initial greeter) ever came up to me to welcome me to their church, hardly anyone even took the time to look my way. I felt very put off. I will not be attending this church again in the future, which is a shame as it seemed to be a lovely church family by their website. I feel they just need to work on their people skills.
