The buffet has friend chicken, but breasts are a rare site and usually have to be requested, then an employee will put some out for me pretty quickly. The salad bar area is okay, just your basic items. They have a nice hot dessert such as raspberry or apple crumb pie. The items all look very tasty, but looks are deceiving, haha.
I like the chicken, normal, extra crispy, and grilled are all 3 available. The mashed potatoes and brown gravy, maybe a veggie or a biscuit, and the rest of the hot food just kind of looks good, but doesn't taste so good, haha. But hey, I can get filled up on lots of chicken and taters, so I am a happy camper!
Always out of food at the buffet you always have to stand their and wait for someone to notice you to even get chicken, Or else say excuss me loudly to get them to bring chicken to the buffet, their are times when you know they see you and that the buffet is practically empty, their more busy doing the drive up and other people ordering several meals at one time. I ended up getting 2 pieces of chicken after 20 min total the 1st one took 10 minutes. But I could not get any other food because it was either all gone or dried up. They finally started putting some new food on the buffet about 35 minutes later mashpotatoes and Mac&Cheese. By then we had to leave. The service on the Buffet is always Bad and we got their at dinner time..
I service was great but the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and trash containers is outside hadn't been cleaned trash all in the parking lot not good but the bathrooms definitely could use extra cleaning
Fresh hot chicken, stuffing and noodles. Always delicious sweet tea. Friendly cashier, had trainer on his name badge but missed his name. Very polite! Out of butter??? Food was very good but condiment area was wiped out, had to ask for everything. Didn't give them a clue that stuff needed to be filled.
For the price and the chicken and mashed potatoes alone I will recommend this location. And if you want other items, order from their menu. The pot pies are made with all white meat and taste good too.
I wish Shelbyville had a buffet like this location does. I have eaten here many times, and unless getting carry out or not being hungry, I see no reason to not get the buffet for I think $8.99
The buffet runs most of the day from about 11am to about 8pm 7 days a week, I think. The staff is friendly and helpful when I need something. The tables and floor are usually clean, and everyone seems to keep fairly busy.
I would give a negative score if I could. The entire place was filthy! Food all over the floor in prep area. All the tables had food on them and were sticky. No hand washing, no gloves, kids running, litterally running and sliding everywhere. Bag of flour was sitting on dirty floor! The staff were Kids and yelling at each other,. I have already complained to corporate and will be calling the health department next! Will never step foot in there again.
